Lehmann Zig-Zag tin toy. Mint condition. EPL 640. Germany. ca 1910

This Lehmann toy features two large tin wheels that support a two-seated apparatus, a white man holding a steering wheel and a black man holding the drive shaft seated at either side. When coil-spring is wound up, the vehicle zig-zag rolls in an infinitely changing manner, the figures bouncing up and down and moving their arms.drive shaft seated at either side. The toy combines lithographed wheels and car, handpainted figures. Excellent condition, mechanism functions well. Marked Lehmann. Lehmann's EPL 640, circa 1910. Size: H.5" ( 13 cm) W. 5" (13 cm.)
