Antique “Creedmoor” cast iron mechanical bank with original polychrome paint decoration, depicting a soldier firing into a tree trunk. The soldier is wearing a blue cape, blue jacket, red pants and a blue hat. The paint is worn, as expected from the bank’s age and usage. Impressed into the large rock on the ground is “Creedmoor Bank, Pat. Nov. 7, 1877. The bank operates by shooting a coin into an opening in the tree trunk.
