Early american folk art doll. This unique doll is very special. She is made ca 1860-70 She is a black doll with negroid face, Her head is wonderful sculptured in papermache with fine molded features fine painted eyes, modelled eyebrowns and mouth. A few hair is set ino her chin Her head is a swiwel head on a very special body made of leather over wood. Moveable arms with detailed fingers, Modelled breast,ribbons, detailed hands and feet and body features. Also the back is so lifelike! She is a very special doll with a great appearence. She is without clothes.She came with a clothes over her lower body, which was later made. But it will come with the doll.The doll comes with a provenance.Size 22 cm/ 8 1/2". A very special doll for your collection of early American folk art or early papermache. This doll seems unique to me! Americana.

Whitman#2057, 1956. Complete 8 page book cut and uncut in covers. The dolls have been punched and replaced in the covers for the photo and they both have ankle bends. The edge of the folder is worn and there is a water stain on the top of the spine area that really affects nothing. All clothes are in very good condition.

Bells on collar and dress. Torso with hat and dress 36 cm / 14". With stick 50 cm/ 20" When swirled bells sounds. Excellent condition of face. A little wear to dress due to age. A wonderful toy!

Antiker französischer Puppenautomat: Clown auf Schwein. Frankreich um 1880. Der Automat zeigt einen Clown, der rückwärts auf einem fellbekleideten Schwein sitzt. Wenn der Clown das Schwein am Schwanz zieht, wird der Automat aufgezogen, die Musik spielt und der Clown bewegt sich hin und her. Das Schwein ist aus Papiermaché, mit weißem Kaninchenfell bedeckt, es hat braune Glasaugen. Der Clown hat einen schönen modellierten Charakterkopf aus Papiermaché. Ein lustiger Automat mit schöner Musik und vielen Bewegungen. Sehr guter Zustand (Seide-Kleidung mit Altersspuren) und feinem Musikwerk. Original-Schlüssel. Höhe 24 cm. Länge 31 cm. Möglicherweise von der Firma Roullet und Decamps, Frankreich um 1890 hergestellt. Roullet & Decamps war eine der bedeutendsten Manufakturen der Jahrhundertwende für bewegliche Puppenautomaten.
