Jenny LIND."Beautiful early Jenny Lind Portrait china doll. Light red coloured china. Brownish hair sculpted. She is German, circa 1850. Has the wonderful blue eyes, molded eyelids, with a red line above and a delicate expression.Long slender neck. Hair is parted in middle and pulled to the rear in a braided bun.She has a pale pink tinted shoulder head with 3 stringing holes, excellent china quality. This beauty lady with comes on her original slender body with china lower limbs..She is dressed in a lovely antique blue skirt, white blouse,velvet coat and lots of layers of underwear underwear-original to the doll . The doll is in excellent condition. She has a small burning mark at the side of her neck, which is visible on the pictures.Jenny Lind was a famous 1850''s Swedish Opera star also known as the "Swedish nightingale" who Hans Christian Andersen fell in love with and wrote about. Shown on page 49 "China Parian Dolls" by Lydia Richter. Wonderful china head doll. Jenny Lind. Named from the Swedish singer, described by Hans Christian Andersen.All original. Shoulder head in great condition. No repairs. Very fine china. A very special and great doll to add to your collection of early dolls. Size: 45 cm / 17"

Early Porcelain Fortune-Telling Doll for the French Market 8" (20 cm) including hat. Porcelain shoulder head with black sculpted hair, painted facial features, muslin body,china arms and wooden legs with flat shoes.Circa 1870.The doll was used for presentation of fortune-telling made for the French market. She is wearing original gold-brown velvet gown with black lace. Matching hat with band.The fortune teller has an "under-skirt" composed of hundreds of folded paper fortunes, each with a hand-written fortune in French language. It is rare to find a fortune -telling doll in such a complete state. Size of doll 20/ 8" with hat". Stranding on a wooden base. 5 cm / 2". She is all original. A very rare and intersting doll for the collection. In wonderful condition.

This is an exquisite Biedermeier China head doll, lovely detailed painted face, long slender neck and fine shoulder plate. She has beautifully painted features and molded black hair. Arms and legs also china. She is on her original cloth body, her feet with painted flat boots. Her all original antique silk dress and hansewn underwear is so wonderful. A gorgeous pink-tint KESTNER CHINA, circa 1840. She is 18" Tall/ 46 cm and is in very excellent condition. She has all-over pink tint with variegated blue eyes, black & red lid-lines, pretty black brows, oval nostril-dots, Cupid''s-bow mouth with space between lips, and black hair pulled back into a bun with a centerpart. shoulders have molded chest & clavicle-collar bone. Her body is original. Made of the finest kid leather with a slender waist. The body is sturdy. She is dressed in her all antique clothing: a lovely batist swiss cotton blouse with laze-open to see her shoulders and a gown- also made of fine cotton. 2-petticoats, pantalets & chemise. A truely wonderful early china head. This lovely rare early china head doll.Black sculpted hair arranged in waves around the face with braided coronet at the crown and coiled braids at the back of head. Her hair is molded in a bun, slender oval face,long slender neck , blue painted eyes, molded eye lids , black and red upper eye liner, marked nostrils,lovely small mouth with accent red line between lips. Cloth body with slender waist, seperete stitched fingers, sewn on boots.A lovely early china head-with an lovely hairstylehairstyle.Dressed in her original antique hand sewn two-pieces dress-lot of underwear.
