Wonderful antique Automaton Pull toy. Fine French Doll with bisque head. He is playing bells and turns his head, when the toy moves. On the left hand he is a lovely bird. Wonderfully dressed figure withface made of fine flawless bisque. Inset brown eyes. Mohair wig. Wooden body. Seated on on platform with embossed gold paper trim. Dressed in his original fine outfit with Dresden paper decoration. Excellent condition all over. H. 32 cm / 12,5" w. 26 cm/ 10" All original. Ca 1880

Rare Strong Clown-mechanical tin toy made by Distler.This Strong Man is constructed of tin with a detailed and colorful lithographed paint. Once wound, the clown bends forward and places his mouth over the handle of the weight, he then appears to grip the 100 kg. weight with his teeth, picking it up in his mouth. He tries to stand straight up with the weight in his mouth then bends over and sets the weight back on the table. The toy is not marked. H.:7-1/2" /19 cm. A charming old tin toy with very interesting action.
